PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

What is L-Glutamine?

L-Glutamine is a proteinogenic amino acid and is present in particularly high concentrations in the human body. As a building block of proteins, it contributes to the diversity of the body's own protein structures and is involved in numerous metabolic processes.

What are the functions of L-glutamine?

  • Protein building block: a component of many proteins and therefore a basic element for the structure and function of cells.
  • Nitrogen carriers: Important role in nitrogen balance and in the transport of nitrogen between tissues.
  • Diverse cellular processes: Involvement in the formation of nucleotides needed for DNA and RNA synthesis.
  • Immune system: L-glutamine is used by rapidly dividing cells such as immune cells and is therefore an important component of their metabolic processes.
  • Intestinal mucosa: The amino acid serves as an energy source for cells of the intestinal mucosa and supports their normal function.
  • Muscles: L-glutamine is present in particularly high concentrations in muscles and is a central component of the amino acid pool there.

What are the ingredients?

- L-Glutamine – pure amino acid
